Five-week summer research program for grades 10–12 and rising college freshmen. Students work on real quantum research projects with university mentors.
Week-long quantum mechanics and light summer school for students aged 16+ who have completed a year of A-level Maths and Physics (or equivalents). Free, with bursaries available. Applications close May 31, 2026.
Online quantum information science program for Canadian Grade 11–12 students, with an optional in-person lab day at IQC on August 17. Free, with expert lectures and group problem solving.

Three-week school on the use of quantum simulators to study fundamental physics. Lectures by morning, group projects by afternoon, aimed at PhD students and advanced master's students.
Two-day hands-on workshop on the physical principles of superconducting quantum hardware, covering low-level calibration and physical controls with access to LLNL's Quantum Design and Integration Testbed (QuDIT). Aimed at upper-level undergraduate and graduate students in engineering or physics; no prior quantum experience required, but Python programming is expected.
Week-long summer school on Quantum Machine Learning for graduate students and researchers. Lectures in English from European academic and industry leaders, hands-on sessions, and 3 ECTS academic credits.
Five-day summer school on quantum optimization techniques and the physics of computation. Open to undergraduates, master's students, PhDs, and postdocs.
Ten-day school for postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers in quantum technologies. Free for academic attendees, with full board at St Hilda's College. Applications close March 16, 2026.
A ten-week full-time bootcamp training technicians for quantum, semiconductor and opto-electronics manufacturing rather than teaching quantum theory. Listed tuition is $14,999, but nine of ten applicants receive full funding. Fall 2026 runs September 28 to December 4 with applications due September 14; the spring 2027 cohort runs February 15 to April 23.
Eight-week professional certificate covering quantum hardware, algorithms, and applications. Strong instructors, broad scope, $2,500 tuition.
Two-week school for graduate students and researchers in condensed matter physics and quantum materials. Lectures and tutorials covering topology, transport, and emerging quantum devices. Application deadline September 15, 2026.
Month-long collaborative residency for PhD students and recent postdocs working on quantum algorithms. One talk every morning, full access to CQT facilities the rest of the day. Stipend, accommodation, and flight reimbursement covered.
Week-long summer school for students serious about quantum technology careers. Lectures from European industry and academic leaders, plus lab visits.
Two-week summer school introducing quantum computing from a numerical-analysis perspective: quantum mechanics fundamentals, fault-tolerant algorithm techniques, and applications such as quantum dynamics simulation and linear algebra. A global series of quantum computing events run on university campuses by local student leaders, with workshops, hackathons and talks built on IBM-supplied materials. Free to attend; the 2026 edition marks ten years of IBM's open-access quantum computers. Hosting applications close in July each year, but attending an event does not require applying.
Two-week intensive on quantum fundamentals and Qiskit. Free, runs labs on real IBM hardware, and the recordings stay public year-round.

Annual conference where quantum education researchers, practitioners, and students share methodologies for curriculum and tool development, hands-on lab design, and classroom teaching of quantum science. Held within IEEE Quantum Week 2026 (Sept 13–18); single-day, two-day, or full-week registration available.
Three-day professional development for high-school science teachers. Interactive lectures, lab activities at IQC, and ready-to-go classroom lesson plans. Formerly Schrödinger's Class. Application deadline October 1, 2026.
One-week residential workshop for high-school physics teachers. Modern physics topics (quantum mechanics, special relativity, cosmology, dark matter) paired with classroom-ready teaching strategies.
One-week virtual bootcamp that equips 9th–12th grade teachers to bring quantum computing into their classrooms (qubit concepts, circuit construction, and coding in Qiskit), with a curriculum developed alongside researchers at Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, and MIT. Free for accepted educators; five daily live sessions. 2026 dates to be announced.
Week-long quantum information science training for K-12 STEM teachers. No advanced math or physics required. Free for accepted participants, with learning stipends and travel support.
Six-week paid summer research experience that embeds high-school STEM teachers in active quantum labs at the University of Chicago and UW–Madison, with quarterly follow-up meetings to turn the research into classroom activities. Run by the NSF HQAN institute; participants receive a $4,500 stipend plus up to $500 for activity development.
