Qubi Recovery Tool

Bring your qubi back.

If your qubi froze or won't wake up, this page can restart it over USB, straight from your browser, nothing to install. Works in Chrome or Edge on a computer.

  1. 1

    Plug it in

Connect the qubi to this computer with a USB cable. It must be a data cable: some cables only charge, and those won't work.

  2. 2

    Click Recover my qubi

The tool searches for your qubi. If the browser asks, choose “USB JTAG/serial debug unit” in the pop-up. That's your qubi.

  3. 3

    That's it

Once found, your qubi is restarted automatically, even if it looks completely dead. Its lights should come back on within a few seconds.

Plug your qubi in first, then click the button. Everything else is automatic.

Troubleshooting

Nothing shows up when I click Recover my qubi
The most common cause is a charge-only USB cable. Try a different cable, ideally the one that shipped with a phone or laptop. Also make sure the cable is fully seated on both ends.
It says something else is using the device
Only one program can talk to the qubi at a time. Close other browser tabs with this page open, and quit any serial-monitor or flashing tools, then click Connect again.
The connection dropped right after the reset
That's expected: resetting makes the qubi briefly disconnect its USB port while it restarts. It means the reset worked. Use “Watch its console” if you want to see it boot.
What is a crash report?
If your qubi crashed, it saves a snapshot of what went wrong. “Capture crash report” downloads that snapshot as a small file. Sending it to us helps our engineers find and fix the exact cause. It contains no personal information.
