Classroom pack management
In order to facilitate management for a large number of Qubis, we recommend using the Classroom Setup wizard in the Qubi App to configure all your Qubis at once. This will reduce the manual steps required, bypass any issues with pairing, and make your Qubis easier to identify on the app.
This wizard does 3 things:
- Pairs the Qubis together two by two.
- Renames them to a standard format that is easily trackable: prefix-letter(s)-number, i.e. UQ-A-1, UQ-A-2. Qubis in a pair will have the same letter(s), and will be numbered 1 or 2.
- Updates the Qubis with the latest software.
Simply use the provided charging hub and cables to keep your Qubis charged, turn them on, and follow the instructions in the wizard.
Once done, we recommend using the blank stickers to write the Qubis' letters on the Qubis.
Tips and tricks for a successful event
- Book a meeting with us at any stage of your planning process! We will consult with you on the best way to use your Qubis effectively for any event, workshop, or lesson you are planning.
- Check out the Educator guides for sample demos and inspiration. Mix and match based on your audience and your time constraints.
- For classroom style lessons, grouping students up in groups of 2 to 5 promotes engagement and discussion, and is highly recommended.
- Keep your Qubis charged before the lesson. Qubis have an operating time of 2 to 4 hours based on usage levels, so plan around this and charge them accordingly. If the workshop is longer than 3 hours, charge them during breaks.
