Rotations with flick gates
Flick gates are another way to perform single-qubit rotations (also called single-qubit gates).
Enable
To enable flick gates, triple-tap the button. If it flashed blue, then it's enabled.
Disable
To disable flick gates, triple-tap as well. If it flashed red, then it's disabled.
The gates
Rotations can happen along any axis, but there are a few key rotations that are used everywhere in quantum computing. When flick gates are enabled, you can "flick" the qubits in certain directions to perform each of these gates.
Calibrating the flick
- Keep the center of the Qubi in place. A flick is a rotation around an axis.
- Don't go too fast. The flick motion is usually far slower (and far less violent) than you think. It can be quite slow.
