Understand the rainbow
The rainbow color pattern is meaningful!
Right after you bump, every color on the two Qubis will be positioned on opposite sides of the spheres. For example, the yellow color will be on the top of one, and the bottom of the other.
Note
This will be true if you orient them the same way. The buttons should be pointed upwards, and the charger ports should be pointed the same directions.
The colors show us what parts of the spheres are correlated with each other.
For example, we know that in the singlet state, the qubits will always collapse to opposite sides of the sphere - and therefore the colors of the rainbow will always be opposite.
Note
In other kinds of entanglement, the colors will sometimes be lined up! The colors will reflect whichever entangled state you are in. Right now, we've only covered the singlet state, but the in-app learning journey covers many more states.
The below interactive lets you hover over the sphere to discover the correlations.
